WEIL AM RHEIN.

The Spanish shoe brand Camper is currently a special guest on the Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein. In conjunction with the ‘Making Africa’ exhibition at the Vitra Design Museum, Vitra and Camper have realised a unique pop-up project in the Dome.

The Burkina Faso-born architect Diébédo Francis Kéré was commissioned to design the space. He has attracted considerable international attention in recent years with numerous innovative building projects – one of which is featured in ‘Making Africa’, the exhibition now on show at the Vitra Design Museums. The Vitra & Camper pop-up project offers visitors to the Vitra Campus a first-hand experience of Kéré’s work.

In addition to the architectural concept, visitors can look forward to other highlights. First and foremost, the result of Camper’s cooperation with the Ethical Fashion Initiative will be exclusively presented here. The EFI is a United Nations programme that promotes the work of artisans in countries such as Ethiopia and Haiti by facilitating collaboration with renowned designers and brands. Furthermore, a professional shoemaker will demonstrate his craft by producing shoes on site. The presentation in the Dome will be rounded off by a selection of products from Camper’s Fall/Winter 2015-16 collection.

Opening hours (pop-up project):
18 June – 30 September 2015
Monday – Saturday: 10 am – 6 pm
