Canada based designer Thibault Sld creates interactive displays and lights which respond to exterior input. One of his recent project is Hexi, an interactive array of 60 hexagonal modules embedded with mechanical servos that use data from a nearby depth camera to physically respond to nearby motion.
Movement is tracked by depth-sensing cameras and analyzed, and discrete instructions are sent to each of the motor-controlled modules. Additional modules may be added for a larger effect.
