Luis Nascimento have designed Pencil. Pencil is a coffee table with a geometrical reference to the pencil. It’s available in three different dimensions: 50 x H 40 cm; 50 x H 50 cm; 50 x H 60 cm. Available too in black natural cork or with the lateral faces covered with white cork.
The designer and art director Toni Grilo invited the talented new generation of Portuguese designers to develop the first collection of 2014 of Blackcorck. This collection was presented during Maison&Objet, last January 2014.
Luís Nascimento is a Portuguese designer. He lives and works in Setúbal, Portugal. His work wanders between product, graphic design and illustration. He is inspired by arts and crafts and believes there’s no substitute to a talented craftsman when it comes to delivering quality products. As a designer, he communicates through his work some topics which he considers relevant aimed to provoke some discussion around these same subjects. He is permanently questioning himself what is the role of design in our society either local or global and how can it be used as an important tool to change the current context. His work has been exhibited in Portugal and abroad. He collaborated with companies like Droog, TemaHome, Piodão Group, Hitachi, ExperimentaDesign, Sofalca, Loja do Sal and Desistart.
