MONTREAL.
Pedica is an ingenious combination of cobbler shop and shoe store designed by Abnorm Studio.
Their contemporary approach was to create a refined retail experience while remaining casual and uncomplicated. With only 500 square feet to work with, they chose the effect of reflection and palette of neutral but contrasting materials to give off intrigue and to emphasize an airy atmosphere. The cobbler side in white invites passersby to enter while the black retail space offers a divergent shopping experience.
The retail side ends on a mirror background reflecting a rhythmic shelving system, which in turn accentuates the depth of the space with a tunnel effect. Two separate services, clearly defined, all in one store.
